Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address, phone number, whether you are hiring or looking for a role, and whatever you write in your message.
- Candidate details: if you register interest as a candidate, the role you do and a short description of your experience, plus anything you send us afterwards, such as a CV.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up for market updates.
- Direct contact: anything you share when you call, email or message us.
Why we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to provide recruitment services (matching candidates with roles and clients with candidates) and, where you have signed up, to send occasional market updates. In legal terms we rely on our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business and responding to people who contact us, on the steps needed before entering a contract with you, and on your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
Candidates: how your details are shared
We never send your details to a prospective employer without speaking to you first. You will always know which company a role is with before we put you forward, and nothing goes anywhere without your agreement.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data, ever. It is only shared with the services that make the site and our business work: our form provider (Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox), our email and hosting providers, and, for candidates who have agreed, the specific employer we are putting you forward to. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers when a page loads; Google may see your IP address as part of serving that request.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking scripts.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and candidate details for as long as we are actively working with you plus any period required by recruitment regulations. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep something.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email recruitment@rutilium.co.uk and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page; the date at the top shows the current version. Our website terms are on the terms of use page.
